Hi Mary!
I just arrived in Mexico City. I am taking a short break from my adventures and I decided to write you an email. I thought you might like to hear my first impressions. I am staying at a small hotel in the city's historical center. It's noisy and colorful and crowded. The streets are so crowded, in fact, that you can't help rubbing shoulders with other people. Conversations are very loud. You can barely hear anything. The "food scene" in Mexico is an adventure. There are lots of vendors selling food on the street. You can try all kinds of things like spicy hot chocolate, salty steamed corn, and sweet juicy fruit. Everything is delicious! I want to sample as many treats as I can while I'm here. What I love the most are the murals. Painting colorful pictures on the sides of buildings and rough stone walls is a Mexican tradition. They are full of bold colors and are really eye-catching. I took some pictures and will show you when I get back. My only complaint about Mexico City is the pollution. The air is so polluted with smoke I can actually taste it in my mouth. Next week I am going to the mountains. I can't wait to get some fresh air! Good-bye for now. Or perhaps I should say "hasta luego."

Writing tip
When writing a narrative paragraph, use phrases of time and place such as In the morning or Back at home. This will help make it clear when and where the events happen. It will make it easier for readers to follow your story.
Task:
Write an email to a friend about a new place you have visited or a trip you took in 120 words approximately. Use simple present, simple past and present perfect. Consider to mention the place, the things you saw, heard, tasted, touched, smelled and so on.
You may use the following words: quiet, noisy, colorful, delicious, beautiful, crowded, polluted and loud among others you can consider.
